The Queens Golden Jubilee celebrations The villages of Chappel, Wakes Colne and Bures celebrated together over the golden jubilee weekend. During the afternoon there was a village fete with a kids party. The red arrows gave a flypast, turning on the red, white and blue smoke when going over the millennium green. There was also a balloon race - shown below. The evening consisted of a party for the adults followed by an excellent firework display.
