In 2000 we had a casino party to celebrate Keith's 40th birthday. It was so popular we decided to have another in 2003 for his 43rd birthday. In the lounge we had a roulette and Craps table, in the dining room we had a horse racing table. Everyone dressed up for the occasion, men in bow ties and women in evening gowns. Each person was given £200 of Station House money and a prize was given to the person at the end with the most money, the prize being a magnum of champagne and Belgium chocolates.
The Horse racing game was kindly loaned by Richard, who I used to work with. He's the one with the riding hat on, something found in Libby's car! Far left and right are Keith's parents.
Jules, a primary school teacher, used her skills to make some trophies out of used household items and sticky back plastic. Trophies were given out for some of the horse race winners. Here is Yvette clutching her winning cup and bottle of wine, which she gave up for no one.
