Hi, my name is Holly and I was born in Aberdeen in November 1987 - so a true Scot. I have been on many holidays with my owners, they make me walk miles over the hills of Yorkshire, Cumbria and Scotland, as well as going away on the odd canal boat holidays. They don't take me so much anymore as they think I'm getting too old and slow. The last time I was taken away on a canal boat I fell in the lock - they said it would be my last time!
One of my highlights was when I was talent spotted in the local pub. How could I refuse the staring role with a local amateur dramatics group - The Stane Street Players. The play was 'The Weekend' by Michael Palin, where I had to play an incontinent dog! Just to keep me happy on stage there were plenty of treats in peoples pockets - here I am searching for the treats in the girls pocket. Now in my aging years things just get too much for me. There are only so many rats I can catch and commuters I can chase down the drive, it just tires me out so much.
16/02/03 Hi, my Mum & Dad have been taking me to the vets as my arthritis is getting worse. My back legs are getting dysfunctional and don't always go where I want them to. Its a bit like being legless through too much alcohol, not that I would know of course! Mum took me to the vets last Friday to see how I was getting on as the vet is trying to get the dosage correct , blimey I nearly fell over when Mum got the bill, good job I'm insured. Anyway, I now have to take a tablet and have some sort of spray on my food, if I'm in a mood I spit the tablet out which really annoys Mum & Dad. On the plus side when they take me down the pub, I get to go by car as they think I walk too slow, but I don't mind as its really cool being chauffeured to & from the pub. Another little trick is to sit at the bottom of the stairs and pretend I can't get up them, after they've carried me up a few dozen times, I run up the stairs on my own, this really hacks them off! 23/02/03 Hi, me again. Thought I'd tell you what I've being up to during the last few days. Dad decided that I was looking scruffy so he thought a quick tidy up was needed.
The photos show the result, I think I scrub up quite well for a 15 year old don't you? Although I've been out in the fields so I look a bit grubby already! Its been quite cold recently so a full haircut is not on the agenda for a while yet (I hope).
I thought I'd tell you a few things that I like and dislike. Top 3 likes are Rooting around in the field and getting nice & muddy An afternoon down the pub Sitting on the back doorstep, warming my old bones in the sun!
